Tracy Byrd is a native of Flint, Michigan and is the sixth of eight children born to Joe and Rose Byrd. She is a retired police officer having served over 30 years in law enforcement with the Michigan State Police (MSP), City of Flint Police Department (FPD), and the Clark County School District Police Department (CCSDPD), from which she retired in 2017.
Tracy attended Grand Valley State University (GVSU), on a full-ride basketball scholarship and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. She also has an associate’s in applied science (AAS) from the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) in Business Management. Tracy is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, a fitness instructor, a former three-time World Boxing Champion, and serves at Mountaintop Faith Ministries as an ordained licensed evangelist, safety administrator, and outreach director under Pastor Clinton and First Lady Dr. Mary L. House.
UBEARINC was established in honor of Tracy’s parents, Joe and Rose Byrd, who instilled in her a love for God’s people and a desire to give back to youth and the community. #FlintPAL, #JoeByrdBoxingAcademy #goodparents. Donated funds will support youth programs in their honor.
